Christmas corporate gifts to show you care

Christmas is a great time of giving and provides us all with the opportunity to show appreciation for the great work someone does for us or a repay a kind gesture. Businesses often show their gratitude by sending out corporate gifts to clients and employees at this time of year.

We love Christmas for the opportunity to create beautiful gifts for companies which are given to co-workers, clients, friends and employees. The gift of cookies — a basket of cookies, a gift box or even a gift bag of cookies is a delicious way to show you care.

We have many years of experience navigating the pitfalls and challenges that arise during this time of year and wanted to share some of the tips to plan your corporate gift giving to make it a success.

First and foremost, partner with someone who cares about going that extra mile. As long time purveyors of holiday gifts, we are always happy to provide suggestions and help our clients through the process.

One of the most common questions we get about holiday corporate gift giving is what date should the gifts be delivered on. When you are considering the best date to send your gift, please take into account where the cookies are being delivered. For cookie deliveries outside the Halton, Peel and Toronto area, a delivery date of Tuesday to Thursday is best to ensure the cookie gift is received in a timely manner. In general, it is best to avoid delivering cookies to an office building on Friday during the holidays as many people take the day off or leave early.

What is a Cookie Gram?

A cookie gram is in essence a gift made with cookies that is delivered by post or courier.

  • Technically any cookie delivered by a courier could be considered a cookie gram.
  • Cookie grams come in many sizes of cookie grams, but in general cookie grams are usually large cookies with a message inscribed on the top.
  • The quality of the cookie gram varies a lot between companies in Canada. The cheaper cookies grams on the market tend to use cheap ingredients or other short cuts.

This is where there is a lot of variation in the market and understanding why helps answer the question of what a cookie gram is in more detail. We make cookie grams every day and as experts in creating these giant cookies, we wanted to share some of our knowledge.

Not all cookie grams are the same.

So, why would a company use cheap ingredients or short cuts you might ask to make their cookies grams?

From our experience, when you factor in what it takes to make a delicious tasting cookie gram properly and to package it into a nice looking gift, it is not a cheap gift to make. So when you see cookie grams selling at or below $40 as a delivered gift in Canada, some corners have to be cut to make this possible. Commonly this means using cheaper ingredients in the cookie including cutting back on the quality of the chocolate (and use of imitation vanilla and other cheaper alternatives to each element of the cookie).

New peppermint chocolate chunk and mocha chocolate chip cookies for Spring

We are happy to share that we have added three new chocolate cookies this year which taste absolutely divine.

Over the past year we have been developing the perfect peppermint chocolate cookie and two of these cookies are the result of our hard work.

And, we did not hold back on the chocolate for these cookies! They are filled with chocolate chips in the batter using our unique process to combine the ingredients. When we shape each cookie by hand we push as many chocolate chunks into to the top.

They are so yummy!
